Martina Magionami “LOOP” EP REVIEW

Martina Magionami, aka La Marti, is an independent singer-songwriter based in Florence, Italy. Her music is a blend of folk and country with indie/alt-pop influences. On stage her delicate and neat voice crosses her fingerpicking and flat-picking acoustic guitar skills, while in studio she usually adds some experimental sounds combined with electric guitars and other instruments from her exotic collection, such as mandolin, ukulele, melodica and harmonica to mention a few. Her “stories with music” – as she call them at times – are an astonishing blend between Italian and English, usually inspired by personal experience and other people’s life or or totally original creations.

Her new EP “LOOP”, represent this concept in the most coherent way possibile, as is curated collection of small moments of ordinary madness with songs that vary from Italian and English:

1 ~ Patetico cliché ~ a song for those who feel caged and experience routine with a noose around their neck;
2 ~ Fools ~ a song for the misunderstood artist, sometimes seen by others as naive or crazy;
3 ~ Selciato Rosso ~ a song for lives broken in a matter of seconds;
4 ~ Sigaretta ~ a song for whoever is in a state of emotional dependence;
5 ~ The Endless Road ~ a song for those who need comfort and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

“LOOP” is NOW AVAILABLE on all streaming platforms!
